Terms of Service

1. Who can use ShowOff

You must be at least 1313 are deleted.

You can't use ShowOff if we've previously banned you, or if the law where you live doesn't allow you to.

2. Your account

Give accurate information, keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Usernames that impersonate someone, mislead people or infringe a trademark can be reclaimed.

3. Your content

You own what you post. By posting, you give ShowOff a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, distribute and promote it on and off the Service (for example, in shared links, previews, and posts about ShowOff), and to make technical copies such as compressed or watermarked versions. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others have already shared or that we must keep by law.

Only post content you have the rights to — including any music, footage or people that appear in it — and that follows these terms.

4. Community rules — zero tolerance

ShowOff has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not post or send anything that:

• is sexual, shows nudity, or sexualises anyone under 18 in any way;
• is hateful, harasses, bullies, threatens or humiliates anyone;
• shows or encourages violence, self-harm, dangerous challenges or illegal activity;
• impersonates another person or misleads people about who you are;
• is spam, a scam, or fakes engagement — including bought or automated likes, views, votes or followers;
• infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.

You must also not try to break, overload, scrape or get unauthorised access to the Service. We remove content that breaks these rules — reported content is reviewed within 24 hours — and suspend or permanently ban the people who post it.

5. Reporting and blocking

You can report any video, comment, profile or message from its menu, and block anyone so they can no longer see your profile, contact you or interact with your posts. Reports are confidential: the person you report isn't told who reported them.

6. The Stage, ShowDowns and other competitions

Stage entries and ShowDowns are ranked on how the audience reacts, not on follower counts. Some Stage categories require entries to be recorded live in the app. Each event may have extra rules, shown in the app, which also apply.

We may remove entries or disqualify anyone for breaking the rules or manipulating results. Winning entries are featured on ShowOff; unless an event's own rules say otherwise, there is no cash or other prize.

7. Coins, gifts and payouts

Coins are a digital item for use only on ShowOff, for example to send gifts or Golden Buzzers. Coins aren't money, can't be transferred outside ShowOff, and — except where the law gives you a right to a refund — purchases are final.

When creators receive gifts, they may be able to cash out their share through Stripe where payouts are available. The share, fees and minimum amounts are shown in the app before you cash out, and payouts require identity and tax checks by Stripe. We can hold or reverse earnings that come from fraud, chargebacks or rule-breaking.

If your account is closed for breaking these terms, unused Coins and unpaid earnings from that misconduct may be forfeited.

8. Sponsorships and sales between users

Brands, creators and buyers may agree sponsorships or purchases through ShowOff. Where ShowOff holds payment until the work is delivered, we release it according to the terms shown at checkout. ShowOff isn't a party to the agreement between users and isn't responsible for the quality of what's delivered, but we'll help resolve disputes where we can.

9. Copyright complaints

If you think something on ShowOff infringes your copyright, email support@showoffhq.com with: a link to the content, a description of your work, your contact details, and a statement that you're the owner (or authorised to act for them) and believe in good faith the use isn't allowed. We'll remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers. If your content was removed by mistake, reply to our notice to ask us to review it.

10. ShowOff's own rights

The ShowOff name, logo, design and software belong to ShowOff. You may not copy, modify or reuse them without written permission, other than sharing links to ShowOff content in the normal way.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings or at https://showoffhq.com/delete-account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and will tell you why unless doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.

12. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep ShowOff running and safe, but the Service is provided “as is”. We can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we're not responsible for content posted by users.

13. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, ShowOff isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or the equivalent of US$100 if that's more). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or any consumer rights you have where you live.

14. Disagreements

If you have a problem with ShowOff, email support@showoffhq.com first — most issues can be sorted out quickly that way. If we can't resolve it together, you keep any rights you have to bring a claim under the laws where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as ShowOff changes. For meaningful changes we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using ShowOff after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.

India: in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, complaints about content on ShowOff or about how we handle your data can be sent to our Grievance Officer, the founder of ShowOff, at grievance@showoffhq.com. We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days; content showing nudity, sexual acts or impersonation of the person complaining is removed within 24 hours of the complaint. Pakistan: we operate in compliance with the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 and the Removal and Blocking of Unlawful Online Content Rules; users and authorities in Pakistan can reach our designated contact at grievance@showoffhq.com, and we act on lawful removal requests within the time the law requires. Indonesia: we process personal data under Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP) and Law No. 19 of 2016 (UU ITE); Indonesian users may access, correct, delete and port their data by contacting privacy@showoffhq.com.
